The 'River of Life' Analogy
Imagine your life being a bit like a river that you can go down to with your canoe and paddle around in. It is flowing along reasonably smoothly at a nice pace. It has a couple of major boulders out in midstream, but the water just flows around them without causing much disturbance at all so the boulders are not really noticeable. You can put your canoe in the water and paddle around it easily. You can paddle upstream if you like, even though it is harder than going with the flow and paddling downstream.
You notice something quite interesting - almost everyone else is paddling upstream against the flow and they encourage any newcomers to do the same. Everyone agrees that it is much more of real challenge to work hard and battle against the flow. To go with the flow is lazy and too easy.
Now imagine the water flow in your river is increased significantly. Paddling around has become a bit more challenging but with some extra effort you can still paddle against the flow. The boulders in midstream have now become quite noticeable, causing a lot of turbulence.
The increased flow has bought some interesting choices. You could continue to paddle upstream but progress has become extremely difficult. If you turned and went with flow you would speed along even without paddling.
However, the boulders are making the ride pretty uncomfortable and a real challenge as they are now creating some major turbulence in the water flow. If they could be shifted off to the side of the river, it would allow the water to flow smoothly and make the ride very easy plus faster.
This river is like our life. There is a flow we are participating in - the flow of life. It is like an energy stream or river. Downstream are all the things we have ever asked for, all the things that are in our best interest. Upstream there is nothing we want. This stream is endeavouring to carry us to those things we have asked for - all the good things in life.
Even though we go down to the river and put our canoe in facing upstream and start paddling, we are usually moving backwards downstream but only slowly due to our efforts to paddle against the flow.
Now the boulders are like our beliefs that resist the energy flow. They are negative thoughts, beliefs and expectations that restrict the flow. When we have a slow energy stream running, we do not really notice them, but when we speed up the flow they become really noticeable and create a lot of negativity, discomfort and turbulence in our life.
The speed of your stream is determined by two factors: -
- Your desires and wanting.
As you set higher goals and want more, you draw more energy to you. It is a faster current or stream. Hence everyone has a different strength of energy stream running.
- Global desires and wanting.
The asking for a better life by all those that have lived before us has cued up a faster energy stream. The asking of everyone living today is contributing further to this. So you are unable to sit outside the 'River of Life'. The stream is running faster whether we are actively participating or not.
Sometimes a river becomes braided, splitting off into a number of different channels. Some branches are quite minor and might even eventually peter out into shingle, while others contain the main flow. Life often brings us options and alternative choices. Understanding how to choose the best options that maintain the best flow taking the fastest route to our goals is an ability we all have.
All of us need to become aware of the significance of the above. One key to effectively work with this is to become aware of your 'boulders' and find a way to quietly move them to the side of the river. This will allow the river to flow smoothly, taking you easily to your desires / wants / goals. With the boulders out of the way you can then focus on speeding up the flow, knowing the ride to what ever you want will be reasonably smooth and fast.
It is not about getting rid of the boulders as they are important 'touch stones' or reminders of how it all works. You just want to get them out of the way. There are ways you can safely explore transforming these 'boulders' that are stopping you from getting what is you are wanting, parking them off to the side and allowing everything good for you to come through into your life.
A second key aspect is to become aware of how to tell which branch of the river or option will work best for you, taking you on the most direct and fastest flow to your desires / goals / wants.
The M-Power Programme is designed specially to allow you to: -

- Know how to confidently shift any boulders you find off to the side, allowing a smooth flow.
- Know how to point downstream and go with the flow to receive everything you have ever wanted and is in your best interest.
- How choose the best branch when alternative options come up. And finally,
- How to speed up the flow so you can get what you ask for faster and more easily.
Do you want to understand and actively use this power?
Are you ready?
